Polar Sustainable Development Online Seminar
Kool Wayfarers collaborated with iDeskResearch to organize the esteemed "Polar Sustainable Development Online Seminar."
Giving those Chinese students a worldwide engagement in in-depth exploration of polar issues, guided by renowned experts including Dr. Peng Kui, an esteemed ecological Ph.D. from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Gregers Gjersøe, a distinguished Danish polar exploration specialist.
Through rigorous instruction, students acquire research proficiency, data analysis techniques, and engage in substantive discussions on sustainable development in polar regions.
Notably, select students have achieved publication of their research findings in prestigious journals, propelling them towards promising scientific research pursuits.

Co-organized Youth SDGs Workshop
with The Movers Programme (China)
In collaboration with the Chinese Team of The Movers Programme, supported by UNDP (United Nations Development Programme), Kool Wayfarers hosted a professional online workshop on China's Youth Sustainable Development Goals.
Recognizing the transformative potential of youth leadership in driving social innovation, this workshop focused on exploring climate sustainability and social innovation entrepreneurship.

The International Conference on Sustainable Tourism Development and Global Crises

Kool Wayfarers participated in the 9th International Conference on Sustainable Tourism Development and Global Crises organized by the GRMD department at The Chinese University of Hong Kong in May 2021.
The conference focused on themes like sustainable tourism, community resilience, and globalization.
Kool Wayfarers presented on the sustainability of Antarctic cruise travel and provided recommendations for the future development of sustainable tourism in polar regions.

Svalbard Field Study Course
Sustainable Field Study Course Design in Svalbard for Prominent Volunteer Organization in Mainland China.
Kool Wayfarers has designed an immersive field study course in Svalbard, focusing on the Arctic region.
The course allows participants to experience biosecurity measures, observe Arctic wildlife, and explore the impact of sustainable practices on the environment.
Key themes include ecological issues, wildlife conservation, and the development of Svalbard Archipelago.
A simulation game will also be implemented to engage participants in citizen decision-making related to the region's development and its ecological implications.

Antarctica Filming:
Kool Wayfarers Antarctica Expedition
'Kool Wayfarers Antarctica Expedition' , as the first Antarctic non-celebrity real-life show produced in China, has a positive effect as it brings polar tourism closer to every person, inspiring them to appreciate the beauty of Antarctica and adopt sustainable practices.
The show's popularity and media coverage highlight the widespread interest in the journey and its message of environmental conservation.
With the support of Albatros Expeditions, it emphasizes responsible tourism and raises awareness about the fragility and importance of our planet's ecosystems.
Overall, the show encourages viewers to reflect on their impact on the environment and promote sustainable tourism.

Polar sustainability enters universities
Lingnan University in Hong Kong is guided by the principles of liberal arts education and a holistic approach to develop students' overall character and knowledge.
Kool Wayfarers is dedicated to aligning with these principles.
Since 2021, the founder of Kool Wayfarers:
Kovey Chen, has been invited by Business School of Lingnan University to share as speaker on entrepreneurship, polar exploration, sustainability, and related topics. These seminars&workshops, initially conducted online, have paved the way for the integration of polar sustainability into the academic landscape of universities. They are not only open to Lingnan University students but also adhere to the principle of knowledge sharing by being accessible to the broader public.

Polar TALK
Kool Wayfarers is passionate about the polar regions and holds great respect for those who contribute to polar research and conservation, including national expeditions, international organizations, and polar expedition staff.
The "Polar TALK" column was created to share the perspectives of individuals working in the polar regions.
Kool Wayfarers had the luck and privilege of interviewing Mr. Lu Wu, producer of the acclaimed Arctic film "Light Chaser."
The film captures the beauty of the Arctic and portrays the lives of people in the town of Longyearbyen during the polar night.
It is a story about people, nature, and warmth.

Antarctica Field Study Program
Our Polar Field Study Program takes participants to Antarctica, uncovering the mysteries of the seventh continent.
Experienced in-team instructors will provide enriching polar curriculum, guiding participants in scientific research on glaciers, marine life, and environmental ecology in Antarctica.
The program usually lasts for fifteen days and combines expert lectures, polar exploration, community learning, field research, and local cultural experiences, offering a comprehensive learning experience.
